Thermoform Plastic Blisters for Packaging
Thermoform plastic blisters can either refer to the little plastic bubble packets that they use to package medicine and candies or it can refer to the packaging sometimes used for small consumer items like disposable batteries, memory cards or ball pens. Either way, blisters are made up of two parts. The first is the pre-formed plastic blister that looks like a bubble and the other part is a printed paperboard card which has a heat-seal coating. Foil or plastic can also be used to seal the plastic.
They’re a great way to package lots of small items together while keeping them in different compartments. This is useful for pharmaceutical products with given dosages, products like after-market pc components that can’t be stored together or products that you only use one at a time like watch batteries.
Nowadays, thermoform plastic blisters are cheap and easy to manufacture with the use of thermoform technology. The thermoform process is faster, cheaper and more efficient that mold injection it doesn’t leave injection marks.
